Located on the 1st floor of our college building, our well-equipped library spans an area of 674.94 sq. meters and serves as the intellectual hub of the institution. The library is meticulously organized into four sections: Lending, Reference, Digital Library, and Reading Sections, each designed to foster an environment of learning and exploration. With the capacity to accommodate up to 150 students simultaneously, our library is more than just a repository of books—it's a sanctuary for knowledge seekers.

Our library is fully automated, with every book barcoded and classified using the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) system. All transactions, whether issuing, returning, or renewing books, are seamlessly managed through the KOHA library automation software. To enhance accessibility, an Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) is available within the library, making it easier for students and faculty to locate and utilize our extensive collection.

In today’s digital age, our library extends its services beyond the physical space, offering access to a wide array of e-resources, even for off-campus users. This digital connectivity also embraces our alumni, providing them continued access to the knowledge they once explored within these walls. We’ve integrated the 'EBSCO Discovery Service'—a Single Window Search tool—that allows users to find relevant information across all subscribed web resources, open-access resources, the library catalog, and the JSS AHER digital repository, all through a single search box.

To ensure that our library remains at the forefront of educational innovation, all services are powered by Koha software. The library is equipped with RFID technology for efficient book management, and the entire facility is secured with Wi-Fi and CCTV systems. These technological advancements not only enhance the user experience but also ensure that the library remains a safe and efficient space for learning.

Collection

The library has a well-developed and systematic policy for the collection and development of learning resources. The comprehensive collection includes both traditional resources (books and journals in print) and electronic resources (CD-ROMs, videos, slides, online journals, etc.). The library holds about 13,000 volumes, primarily covering pharmaceutical sciences and allied sciences. A modest collection of books for competitive exams is also maintained. Users can relax with the library’s general collection, which includes biographies, fiction, philosophy, etc.
